Education leaders came together for a strategic planning workshop at Netzah International School under Head2Head leadership program, engaging in focused sessions on institutional growth, legal compliance, and strategic planning led by Dr Ann Mugunga.
A key highlight was Dr Mugunga’s presentation on Strategic Planning, where she emphasized the importance of a clear roadmap to guide schools toward their long-term vision. She outlined four core pillars of effective planning: team collaboration, priority setting and budgeting, plan implementation and communication, and continuous revision to stay aligned with institutional needs.
Leaders reflected on their institutional journeys, celebrating milestones such as JC Tidings Christian School’s growth from two learners to fifty students and Mt. Horeb International School’s recovery from post-pandemic challenges to a thriving learning community. They also discussed common obstacles, including staffing, legal compliance, and infrastructure, highlighting the need for strategic staffing and a consistent vision.
The workshop concluded with participants feeling energized and equipped to align their strategic plans with their institutions’ visions and missions. Dr Mugunga encouraged leaders to embrace continuous growth and regularly revisit their plans. Overall, the session strengthened leadership capacity while fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing, laying a strong foundation for sustainable institutional growth.
